The No. 1 Habit All Confident People Have

Confidence isn't a starting condition. It's meant to be the end result.

Many people believe confidence comes first.

They think they'll feel confident when the weight comes off. They'll feel confident when they know more. They'll feel confident when they're sure this time will be different.

The truth is that confidence rarely arrives before action.

Psychologist Dr. Mark Travers recently shared research showing that confidence is not usually the starting point. It is often the result of taking action, even when we feel uncertain. In other words, confidence grows from experience.

Many people come to us after trying countless diets, programs, and promises. They want to believe things can be different, but part of them is afraid to hope. If they waited until they felt completely confident, many would never begin.
